This is a hands on workshop aimed at Doctors involved in the care of the trauma and emergency patient. We hope by the completion that you are able to properly operate an ultrasound machine and make adjustments to obtain adequate image quality, acquire ultrasound images for limited examination of the following organ systems: abdominal aorta, renal, female reproductive organs, cardiac and biliary, acquire ultrasound images used to determine injuries and free fluid in the Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma exam and finally use ultrasound to facilitate the intravascular placement of catheters. Please note there are only limited places in order to ensure each participant has one on one experience and teaching. We may announce an afternoon session closer to the conference date as was done last year due to demand.
